Calthorpe Estates and Pebble Mill Investments Ltd appointed Studio Egret West to masterplan a 10 hectare science park at Pebble Mill in Birmingham. Ralph Minott, Director of Development at Calthorpe Estates said: ‘The redevelopment of the former BBC Pebble Mill studios and adjoining land is a world class development opportunity to create a new science and technology park close to Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham University and Hospital, and Calthorpe Estates were particularly impressed with Studio Egret West’s interpretation of our vision’.
We look forward to amplifying the luscious attributes of the Edgbaston landscape within the science park and working closely with potential occupiers to create an exemplar modern science park interwoven with the existing suburban fabric, and meet both Calthorpe Estates and Birmingham City’s aspirations to avoid a stand alone introverted science park in favour of an open and fully accessible part of the community.
