Studio Egret West had a fantastic time at the New London Architecture Awards yesterday.
First, our Clapham Library Building was judged the winner of the “Culture and Community” category. Second, our East Croydon project was named joint winner of the “Masterplans” category. Third, as a bonus, we learnt that our Stratford Town Centre Public Realm project was entered as part of the “Stitching the Olympic Fringe” project which was announced joint winner of the “Public Spaces” category.
In all three categories our projects were up against stiff opposition and subject to the scrutiny of a high profile, international jury – so we can be especially proud of this endorsement of our work. It was really great to be recognised for all three disciplines that Studio Egret West fuses together – architecture, urban design and landscape.
Thanks to Martyn Evans of Cathedral Group, Vincent Lacovara of LB Croydon and Eleanor Fawcett of the London Legacy Development Corporation for being great clients and for submitting for the awards.
