The Station we designed for the Sofia Metro competition picked up on some of the iconic materiality of the Capital, delivered through the organic nature of the station roof and the quality of pedestrian experience that transcends the pragmatic requirements of the Metro Station.
East Croydon station is the second busiest interchange station in the UK (behind Clapham Junction) and the eighth most used station in the UK. Along with Mott Macdonald and Hawkins Brown, Studio Egret West have been employed by Network Rail and East Croydon Council to undertake the design of a new footbridge as phase one of the East Croydon Masterplan, also by Studio Egret West.
